Pride J Academy English Workbook

An illustrated English workbook for an English academy in South Korea that I have been working with since 2009. Pride J Academy teaches children English (from grades 1-6) using textbooks and storybooks. The owner believes it is important to learn English from English textbooks rather than Korean textbooks, so that children can learn phrases and idioms better.

The client wanted to create an engaging workbook for her students. She sent me a text-only file that I added compelling and captivating images for students to engage with while using the workbook. I had to use Microsoft Word, as the client didn’t have access to a Creative Cloud Adobe program. Using this medium was also easier for editing the text. I planned the layout and sourced all the images that were suitable for the workbook following the brand guidelines.
