Jihyun uses this alarming fact as motivation for her artwork. She creates attention-grabbing illustrations that speak to her audience and inspires them to savour the moment, as they did before the rise of social media.

Born in Johannesburg, raised in the Philippines, and currently based in Birmingham, Jihyun is a South Korean illustrator with a unique global perspective. She discovered her passion for illustration while completing her fashion design degree in South Korea. Jihyun began experimenting with fashion illustrations and tattoo designs alongside her studies.
She worked as a fashion vendor for 5 years before moving to the UK to formally study illustration. Her experience gave her vital time management, communication, and organisation skills that she continually transfers to her artistic projects to ensure client satisfaction.
Jihyun’s line drawings and illustrations have been featured in galleries in The Custard Factory, Birmingham and Green Door Studios, Derby.
