Seven designs in seven days.
01 · THE BRIEF
In 2021 I set myself a challenge on Printify’s Halloween theme: one new T-shirt design every day for seven days.
I wanted to test two things: how fast I could take an idea from sketch to print-ready artwork, and whether seven separate pieces could still read as one collection. Every design had to work on a real T-shirt, not just on screen.
02 · CREEPY, BUT IN LOVE
One rule held the week together: Halloween creatures, but in love. Hearts keep coming back. The pumpkin has heart-shaped eyes, the ghost hugs a heart, and the type piece says “You are my boo.”
Bony hands, drips and slime return from day to day, so the seven shirts feel like one world. The soft, flirty mood also makes them easy to wear after October 31.
03 · COLOR & LINE
One shared palette runs through every design, so the collection reads as a set even though each subject is different.
Pumpkin
#F2622EWitchy purple
#932BD8Acid lime
#C0F205Teal
#268D8CCandy pink
#F18094
Each piece was drawn by hand, then colored and finished in Photoshop. Thick black outlines and flat fills stay sharp at T-shirt print size and read clearly from across a room.
04 · THE SEVEN DESIGNS

Day 1 — Pumpkin. A lovesick jack-o’-lantern with heart eyes and a little horn, carried on purple arms and bony legs. It set the mood for the week.

Day 2 — Ghost. A long-haired purple ghost holding a pink heart in bony lime fingers. A little sad, a little sweet.

Day 3 — You are my boo. BOO is spelled out in lime rib cages dripping purple slime. This one is the joke, told in type.

Day 4 — Spider. A wide-eyed lime jumping spider cupped in teal witch’s hands under a pink web. Creepy, but you’d still hold it.

Day 5 — Bat. A fanged blue bat clings to a teal clawed hand while tiny purple bats flutter around it.

Day 6 — Cauldron. A teal hand rises from a bubbling orange cauldron, holding up a moon-marked skull in acid-green smoke.

Day 7 — Bone Appétit. A skull bites into a pink cupcake held in a skeleton hand, under a red script pun. The week ends on a joke.
05 · THE COLLECTION
7 days · 7 print-ready designs · 1 collection
The challenge showed me that a tight brief and a fixed palette make daily work faster, not slower. The same system works for client merch: a set of characters, one color story, and graphics planned for the product from the start.
